Over three decades of Charlotte’s growth, Frank Martin has been among the city’s most active and respected real estate professionals.
Following graduation from the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa, he served in the U.S. Navy. Upon discharge, he entered Harvard Business School as a Spencer Love Fellow.
After receiving his MBA, Frank joined an Atlanta firm developing resort real estate in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Several years later, he moved to Charlotte, where he began his own development firm. Since then he has developed a wide range of properties including:
- Infill condominium and mixed use developments
- Single family subdivisions
- Conversions of apartments to condominiums
- Subdivision of commercial sites
- Medical office buildings
He has served as president of the Homebuilders Association of Charlotte; commissioner of the Charlotte Housing Authority; chairman of Sustainable North Carolina, a business-oriented environmental advocacy group; chairman of The Harvest Center, non-profit providing meals for the homeless; and chairman of Sugar Creek Charter School, a K-8 school serving low income, minority children. |
Over his seven years of practice, Aaron Ligon has proven himself to be among the Charlotte region’s most highly regarded real estate brokers.
A native of Charlotte who studied at N.C. State University and Queens University, Aaron is a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina. He holds the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, a widely recognized symbol of excellence and integrity.
Aaron is expert in the areas of retail, office and multifamily; and the services he has provided his clients include the following:
- Landlord and tenant representation
- General brokerage representing both buyers and sellers
- Property and asset management
- Ground-up development services
In 2010, Aaron managed the development of “Greenway Commons,” an 84 bedroom student housing community serving Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. and recognized as one of the area’s most attractive such communities. Aaron is currently broker-in-charge of Ligon Commercial Real Estate Services. Ligon CRE is a full-service commercial real estate firm, serving the Carolinas from uptown Charlotte, NC.
